Too many characters named, most of whom didn’t seem to be too important to the plot. All the characters felt half baked, I didn’t really sympathise with or root for any of them.

One of my favorite books. I love the friendship of the Air Force wives making the best of where their husbands have been stationed.

I didn't think I was going to like this book which was a book club selection, but it is meatier than it seems. Quite enjoyable.

This is a great circle-of-life book that made me think about the women in my life in a new way. The beginning was a bit slowgoing with so many characters to remember, but after I got everyone straight in my mind I couldn't put the book down!

What did it mean to be a homemaker in
the fifties? What does it mean now?
A quick read. Felt very true to this
reader who spent a little time in the
fifties herself. Recommended.
