I downloaded this a a quick cozy read. Didn't get to it until now.
I absolutely loved this book!
Willow and Damien's connection is like lightning right away.
It's a fast and cozy read. Makes you feel happy and hopeful.
No 3rd act break-up
A Demon Shadow Biting Cat Daddy
I can't wait to read the next one.

I'm quite actually obsessed with this. If you're looking for a short, sweet, and spicy spooky read, look no further.
Willow is a witch who lives a normal life in Pleasant Grove... until her new cat turns out to be a demon who needs her to break his curse. (I promise he's a cat for only a very small percentage of this book; the curse is broken very quickly)
From there, Damien quickly realizes that the witch he found to break his curse is also his mate. But his life is back in the demon realm where he works for his brother, and he knows a life in this small, quiet town will never be possible. But he can't deny the pull that he has towards Willow, and neither can she.
The romance in this book is so sweet. Damien is boy obsessed, and I don't care if it has to do with the whole fated mates thing; he's possessive as hell, and I ate up every single second. But Willow is too. She wants everyone to know Damien is her man and more than anything she wants him to stay with her in her little town so she can prove to everyone that demons are nothing like the were all lead to believe their entire lives.
I genuinely could go on forever, but to summarize, I ate up this novella. The plot, the romance, the spice. And don't get me started on that epilogue. I love an HEA with marriage and babies.
I will be immediately reading Luna's book.

For such a cutesy cover it got surprisingly sexual halfway through.
Any tension that's built is immediately dissolved two pages later. There is no suspense.
This is a cozy chill read and definitely for the seasonal or Halloween obsessed reader, otherwise the word pumpkin may become annoying.
This reads more like a moodboard than a book but for that its nice.

This was definitely a sweet read that was a nice break from my dark romance reads. I enjoyed the low angst and lack of miscommunication trope. I am for sure going to add Luna and Zain's book to my tbr.

This is the perfect book for someone wanting a cozy fall/Halloween themed fantasy read that has a good amount of romance and spice with not a lot of big world building/plot going on. Obviously there is a plot, but it's not like Game of Thrones level plot it's very straight forward and simple. Only reason I took a star off was cause I kinda started losing interest since Halloween passed and I didn't get a chance to finish before then, but this is a great option if you want a quick cozy romantasy from kindleunlimited.

I read this for Halloween 2023 and thought it was absolutely adorable, so of course I had to try the audiobook version this year (Halloween 2024). And I have to say, I loved the audiobook just as much.
I will say that the writing is pretty simplistic. It’s not a literary masterpiece. And it doesn’t have to be. It’s kind of like what I would imagine an adult version of the Disney Halloweentown movies might be like. It’s cute and fun and a little bit spicy, and I enjoyed every single second of it.

This was such a CUTE book! I absolutely loved it. From start to finish I had the hugest smile on my face as I was reading. It gave me Halloweentown vibes mixed with smutty goodness. Definitely my type of read!
From the moment this book begins, Jennifer Chipman does such a great job at setting up the cutest lil spooky town vibes ever. I loved getting to know Willow, the town, its inhabitants, and how everything was run there. Hearing that Willow and her sister owned a little witch themed coffee shop with pumpkin flavored everything, hearing about the witches’ levitating powers, and how they get matched with their familiars was SO CUTE. Like I genuinely was making a lil sad pouty face as I read because I could not get over the utter cuteness of it all. It just made me feel so sucked into the book and into the spooky world of it all. It really is the perfect lil read for spooky time!
Getting to see Willow interact with Damien while he was in cat form was also adorable. I loved seeing how they were able to feel that bond with each other, even when he was still a cat. It was clear that they were meant to be together in some capacity early on, even as her possible familiar.
Then once Willow helped Damien return to his main form, it was incredible to see that connection between them get even deeper. I loved seeing how protective that Damien became of Willow, it was absolutely amazing. Damien is a 10/10 man all around. I thought the love story between them was both so heartwarming and so sexy. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing their love become so genuine and seeing the moment that they both realized they were in love. I was literally sobbing at the way Damien confessed his love to her and the sweet words that he said to her. I highlighted so many things that he said, they were just the most heartfelt words ever.
Then getting to see into the demon realm when they went there was so interesting and so much fun. I liked getting to learn more about Zain as well too, and I am very interested to see his love story with Luna in the next book! I will definitely be picking up the next book before spooky season is over!
Overall, I literally had such a fun time reading this book. I was so happy and excited to pick it up every single time that I did. I both read and listened to the audio and I just felt so immersed into the story every time that I was able to jump back into it. It truly put me in the spooky read spirit and just filled my heart with so much joy, cuteness, and appreciation. I rate this book 5/5 stars! 🌟
