I enjoyed this book. Some of it was ridiculous. The amount of sexual stuff that happened while trying to stop an assassination is so hilarious. But it was still a fun romp!

This is my second time reading this book, first time was a few years ago. It's been a while that I've read a book that felt so.. dated. Some of the slang, especially the use of "jerk," definitely seemed out of date. I know it's incredibly hard to make a contemporary novel timeless, but being a huge fan of Sherrilyn Kenyon, I know her writing, and I know how wonderful she is. This book just didn't live up to the rest of her work.

That said, I still liked it. I love Steele's sense of humor, and Syd's ability to keep up with said humor, punchline for punchline. Kenyon is an author I turn to again and again, and I will continue to follow anything she releases.

I usually am not into romantic suspense. I started this book because I wanted to post the review of this book and the next book with a later giveaway. I was pleasantly surprised by this book. When I read a book I do it to relax, it may be part of my job as a blogger but I am unable to tear a book apart piece by piece and analyze every nuance of every single character and situation. I would go nuts and I would hate reading. I read this as a normal consumer, one that is mildly educated and wants a calming, relaxing read. This book did it for me. Sherrilyn Kenyon has a way of making something I wouldn't usually read (The League-futuristic romance) into something I can't wait to pick up, and this book is included.

The immediate heat between Steel and Syd was pretty great and it was completely believable even though we only see them together for a couple of days before they start shaking up. I felt I related to Steel a little bit, I am not a sniper but I know how the Army deals sometimes and sometimes the cards do not come up in your favor. I felt the author accurately portrayed the fierce love and simultaneous hatred that each soldier holds for it's parent organization. I love these characters and am now excited to read the next book. Oh and wait for the twist at the end there, it is a doozie! I actually didn't see it coming until it was too late. Stay sharp.

Ironically, I am not a fan of contemporary romance novels. And yet...

Sherrilyn Kenyon is talented like no other! Her writing style and characters and plots are so good that they are able to draw me into the story no matter what the genre might be!

As such, I absolutely loved BAD Attitude! Aside from the fact that there were about two plot twists I did not see coming, the characters of Steele and Syd were so enjoyable to read! I really believed the entire premise to the agency and the drama of the story. As with every Kenyon novel, I was very emotionally attached to both the hero and heroine, and the same can be said with the two leads in this story.

Overall, an amazing story!
