A heart breaker of anon stories from those who care for families giving birth and the traumas they share.
Of course, not every story is heart breaking, but the totality of the book makes it feel that. It helps normalize the unique experiences we share at the bedside in what should be the happiest moments of people's lives, and I'm sure cathartic for the anon story holders.

Incredible book, very enlightening into the world of midwifery and the nuances and beautiful aspects of the profession. It was also quite sobering to hear about the same work-related pressures and troubles manifesting in this department, highlighting that this is a country wide issue, rather than an issue that exists in isolation in certain health care divisions. Couldn't put the book down.
