3.5
I'm giving this book 3.5 stars because I adored the characters and the world building. The dialogue was hilarious, I loved their accents and Scottish dialect, and the plot was pretty interesting. However something just seemed a little superficial and off for me, like the story fell a bit flat. It just didn't suck me in like I was hoping. I enjoyed it every time I picked up my e-reader, but I also didn't have a hard time putting it down after a few pages and it ended up taking me a couple weeks to finish -- which is a super long time for me, for a book under 300 pages. I will probably read the sequels eventually because I did really like the characters but I just found it a little too slow overall.
