I'm not normally a thriller fan but I loved the first book so I wanted to continue the series. I liked it but I think it inevitably fell flat after how much I loved the first book. I just feel like some of the marketing of this series is that there is a romance between the female lead and the serial killer and we didn't get that. In the last book, Simon seems to actually like Emma and she seemed intrigued by him. In this book
she seemed to entirely be disgusted by him and lacked any desire to actually relate to him. I wanted this to continue in the vein of them being really interested with eachother and have that romance potential and that was absolutely trampled.
I did really enjoy having more Kristen and seeing more of her relationship with Simon. Even if the series is not going in the way I wanted, it was a good read.

I loved None Shall Sleep and this dove right into a continuation with the characters I grew to love along with another serial killer solving plot line! I dug the scenes with Simon a ton. It probably wouldn’t hold up if I think about it too much, but as another in this Silence of the Lambs/Prodigal Som/I Hunt Killers vibe series, I’ll take it! I like how it ended too, but definitely wouldn’t mind another…

DO YOU KNOW HOW LONG I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS? I am not normally a fan of sequels but I have wanted more ever since I first read None Shall Break. The entire concept and characters and their backstories are just delicious. This was hard to put down. I was on the edge of my seat and am entirely obsessed with the implications of what happened in this book...dare I hope for a third book?
