Adorable middle grade book! I love the themes about living in the moment and forgiving family.

a short but fulfilling read about a young girl who is dealing with the death of her mother and runs away into the woods after a fight with her sister. Upon finding a lost tree spirit they embark on a journey to take the tree spirit back to her mother and along the way confront their big feelings - or 'monsters' - that they have been bottling up. With short sentences and several pages of exclusively pictures this book would be a good read for Grade 4+ or any reader who prefers visual storytelling.

⚠️TW/CW: Impulsive thoughts, greif, and death of a parent⚠️

This book was really cute! I loved the art style too! The story was very written in a very lighthearted way but still talks about some adult topics such impulsive thoughts, aswell as the grieving process when you loose a parent. It was a short journey of self discovery and acceptance and it was adorable!
