Seriamente pensavate che avrei potuto provare empatia per un uomo nelle ultime 100 pagine, dopo il gaslight che mi era stato fatto per le prime 300?
No.
E comunque si è comportato male.

In reading this novel, you’d go in thinking one thing and come out of it gaining a different perspective on the characters, particularly the male lead. This story encapsulates the notion that people come into your life either for a season, or a reason. I’d  categorize this as more of a general fiction/mystery with a bit of a romance than a full-on romcom. The unconventional storytelling definitely kept me wanting to flip the pages quickly so I could discover the twist.

Trigger warnings:

It took me a long time to get into the story and this wasn't exactly what I expected it to be. The twists were surprising, but I wish I could have grown attached to the characters a bit more. Not the best Beth O'Leary book, if you ask me, but still entertaining as a whole. :)

This book took me by surprise! At first I was cautious but when I found out the timeline and reasons for what was happening, this book make me ache and feel all sorts of feelings <3

Don’t you love when a book ends up being better than you anticipated? Sameeeee!!

My girlfriends and I began this book on our overseas holiday but I was in a bit of a slump so only just finished it (almost a week after them lol) and I’m so gutted that I didn’t finish it sooner.

This book absolutely grips you, and although I personally found some parts predictable the story itself was great and the characters paired with Beth’s writing was
