Enjoyed reading this book so much. Wasn't ready for it to end. The ending was expected, but it still made me cry. This book legit made me cry like three times!

Appropriate for all ages, well-written and with wonderful characters. It's amazing. 5 stars.

This was my last book of 2010. Not really a bad way to end the year, kind of putting me in mind of death and the continuance of life and all that. I liked Sam's story, although at times it was a little too perfect. It's absolutely predictable. However, Sally Nicholl's writing saved it from being too trite for me. She captures Sam's personality well and she frames his story in an engaging way.

I've owned this book for 6 years and I'd never read it. Despite it being a children's book I believe that reading it as an adult allowed me to appreciate the story much more. This wonderful story of a boy with cancer was told in the most honest way. I loved how it was written in his POV with pictures and lists. This is an enjoyable book but moreover it is an important one, one which reinforces the message that every minute counts. I don't regret a single minute I spent reading this, they all counted.
