I was just going to write something like "twas good" and then be done with the review, but then THAT ENDING! IT WAS SUPER GOOD. I loved it so much. It was so unexpected, but all the characters still acted so authentically in the given situation, which authors tend not to do when wanting to add a plot twist.
The book was also brutal throughout, and I love it when Star Wars does that, because I'm sick of this family friendly approach that the sequel trilogy has adopted (I also just hate the sequel trilogy).
(Also, there was this place that cut people off from the Force and all I could think of was that it was like a stedding in Wheel of Time.)

I only played SW:KOTOR 1, so I was only aware of Revan's story, not Meetra's. Regardless, fun read but sometimes dependent on knowing about the games beforehand - Meetra's and T3-M4's deaths don't mean as much if you don't.

The audiobook was fine, same style as the first book of Darth Bane. The male narrator doing female voices was strange to hear since it was very noticeable that it wasn't a woman speaking.

I overall enjoyed this book though it left me wanting in a couple of ways.

I found it very interesting and I was excited to see just how powerful Revan was. However, I was disappointed that for the majority of the novel Revan was in captivity vs kicking butt. The ending of this work is extremely emotionally charged. I did shed a few tears at the ending because it was just so sad and it seems so unfair. But that's the telltale sign of a good ending, it definitely kept me thinking about that all along after I was done reading it.

"The dark side fed on passion and raw emotion, but it was important to temper it with cold analysis and reason."

I enjoyed reading this book, I don't know why people are hating on this book.
I'd reccomend this book to any star wars fan.

This book is comprised of two story lines that eventually converge. The revan storyline was okay, but what I really enjoyed was the sith plotline. It just did an excellent job of filling out the world and society of the Sith.

The hand waving of Bastilla out of any adventures by being oh she's pregnant and has to stay behind to raise their kid. Is just really awful though.

Another great Drew Karpyshyn novel with great character development of the old favorites, and a continuation of Kotors plot!
