I’m torn whether to give this book 4 or 5 stars because I loved all of the book right until the end. The ending was disappointing, I needed more! It left me with so many questions, I wanted it to keep going.
The combination of writers made an incredible book. I love Laura anyway and the addition of another author improved it even more! I will definitely be looking at some of Andies books!
This is such a good romcom and it added some more interesting ideas that you have to read to find out! 100% recommend. Just prepare yourself to be left wanting more at the end of the book!

This book is HILARIOUS!
Kat and Felix both lose their job after a prank goes wrong. Off they go around the country for job interviews. The only trouble is, mischief and unfortunate events follow them everywhere they go!

This book is brilliantly written. It’s sharp, funny and sexy! If anyone needs a good laugh this is the book for you!

Katy walks in on her fiancee with her sister in a way that has Katy walking out and looking at Felix Montague for help. Felix is known around the school she teaches at as a bit of a player, he has never glanced her way but she needs his help with a little make believe payback. Felix knows of Katy and knows she has helped swirl the rumor mill about him never once trying to find out if it is true. Felix decides to make his own conditions to help her out. One thing leads to another and both Katy and Felix find themselves having to share a road trip that leads to a little bit more.

I listened to this on audiobook and initially the accent is a bit heavy but it works. This story reminded me of Bridget Jones a bit especially Katy's mom. I thought the humor was spot on in this one. I liked Felix and Katy, I enjoyed seeing how they begin to realize they are not what the other assumed about them. Some really funny laugh out loud moments. Delightful road trip book.

Road Trip by @laurabarnardauthor was everything I needed in my life.⁣

This was a HILARIOUS, laugh out loud rom-com from the very first page. Anyone else’s favorite trope enemies to lovers? I literally picked this book up thinking I would just read a few chapters and I got sucked right in and read it to the very end because I just couldn’t put it down.⁣

I say this every time but British banter is seriously the best. It is my favorite. ⁣

Katy is engaged to be married to Dick and has the twin sister from hell. Katy is an uptight English teacher who works with a sexy History teacher Felix, and they hate each other. They both lose their jobs, and end up on a road trip across England for multiple interviews with very little money to their names. Felix loves to prank people. Katy is pretty tightly wound. This was such a pleasure to read chapter after chapter of everything that went on during this road trip. ⁣

This is also available on audible now! ⁣

This book started with a bang.
.
Literally.
.
When Katy walks in her apartment to find her fiance Dick (accurate) in bed with her non-identical twin sister Vic she finds herself single and homeless. Things go from bad to worse when she enlists her hot co-worker with a bad reputation to get revenge on her sister and before she knows it she is single, homeless, unemployed and trapped in a car on the job interview road trip from hell with Felix, her partner in crime and direct competition.
.
.
This story was completely absurd and kept me laughing the whole time! There were some shocking/scandalous moments as well as moments of good clean fun that will keep you entertained from cover to cover. But if you're listening to it on audio, maybe wear headphones or keep the windows rolled up!

This book had me rolling! I was in need of a pick me up and this book definitely did the trick! A hilarious enemies to lovers, fasted paced romcom. It has some slap stick comedy in there which I like! The ending was tied up in a nice little bow for me though, I still had questions, and I think this was just a standalone. Overall though I loved it! I happily recommend reading this is you want a fun quick read!

Katy doesn’t think things could be any worse. After all, she’s just walked in on her fiancée (aptly named Dick) in a compromising position with her non-identical twin sister Victoria. Cue the Dick and Vic jokes!

So Katy convinces Felix Montague, her most despised colleague, to be her faux boyfriend so she doesn’t appear quite so devastated. Unfortunately things do get worse for Katy and she and Felix find themselves out of work and vying for the same teaching positions. To save money going to the same interviews across the countryside they decide to take a road trip. What else could go wrong?

Thanks to @lolaandpuki who gave me the heads up when this one was free on Amazon in September. It’s a fun, light-hearted read with steam from the first page (and quite a bit of it) and a few laughs (or cringes depending on your perspective) as well. If you’re shy of steam and adult conversation you’ll need to look away though! This one gets pretty hot/cringey.

I read this book in one sitting one weekend. This was a first for me of Laura Barnard and Andie M Long’s work. All in all a good rom com to lighten to the mood.
