It was fascinating to learn about Earhart's childhood and how she constantly challenged gender norms. Great illustrative style, as well.

This little picture book is super cute. The majority of it explores Amelia Earhart's life when she was a young girl, which was a lot of fun. I think kids will find it inspirational because it lets them know that the famous people they hear about in school and so forth were once just kids like them. I think the author/publisher should have chosen a different title, though. Something along the lines of Amelia Earhart, Miss Independence or Amelia Earhart Can Do Anything Boys Can Do would have been more in keeping with the book's overall theme.
