Could not get through the first chapter. Always read a preview of the book before ordering online.

The author delights in telling you everything about a character well before you have any interest in them. How tragic that (insert unpronounceable fantasy name here) is an orphan that watched their parents brutally murdered in the (insert fantasy race) wars. I didn't know they existed a sentence ago. I really don't care yet.

Como casi todos los libros de este tipo me ha encantado. Me recuerda mucho a los libros de reinos olvidados.

This was the first fantasy book i read when it first came out. I was on holiday, and i wanted something to show for my holiday money, and i liked the front cover. I loved this book when i first read it, and credit it for my love of D&D.

This is the first time i have re-read it in a while. My opinion of the book has decreased. it still has a special place in my heart, but being critical its a bit of a let down now. The story is a little choppy, and some elements are thrust upon you so fast, you wonder what the point was (green stone gem man).

I know it all comes together, and it started a mass of books. I still love the characters, and the setting - but the story lets it down a little in this book.

The audio was ok, but i wish they got a voice actor in. There are a lot of characters and they needed someone with a breadth of voices to make it work.

Not a horrible book. Part of a trilogy. Wasnt really exciting enough and had a strong enough ending that I don't feel a great need to go out and get the rest. Just wanted to give one of the dragonlance series a try since there were so many of them.

If I could give it negative stars I would. It reads like a poorly transcribed AD&D game. The characters are one dimensional and boring. The back drop is orthodox D&D fantasy with out a single original thought.

This was a delightful read. Although incredibly long it was well worth it to accompany these heroes in their adventures. It truly felt like a D&D campaign!
