I'm really loving my reread of this series!

I love that the characters and what they are doing for school or work is really a focus. I like the day to day activities and seeing how that affects their relationships.

I like that we've also gotten new characters, especially others who are also deaf or hard of hearing.  This does bring in some conflict, but it makes me want to keep reading all the more.

My review of volume 1 of this series gives an overall sense of how I feel about this series.

OMG angst is brewing. The way this volume dives deeper into the feels with new characters and next-level angst. The stakes are higher, and Kohei and Taichi’s relationship gets more complicated, but in a good way. The new squad adds fresh drama, and the tension? Ugh, it’s seriously giving emotional rollercoaster vibes.

Hmm this is the fourth story in this series and - I mean I can tell from the little author comic at the end of each volume that the author is not really sure how to write romance, but yeah there's slowburn and then there's whatever this is. I'm not really enjoying the romance aspect of this story, mostly because it's all the tedious parts of manga romance stories without any of the fun or sweet bits (like, they don't spend ANY time with each other but then they're having the 'wait, are we even dating?', and jealousy over other people, and - god the one I hate the most - 'if we kiss now I won't be able to stop' line). BUT I still like the other aspects of this story and I'm interested in continuing to read it for that reason.

This was a good volume. I liked seeing Taichi in the workplace and see him figuring things out. I feel like it is leading up to some pretty big drama though, especially with how insecure Kohei :(
