I enjoyed the unreliable main character. I expected more from the ending.

So, here’s my biggest issue. I read the description (and the first few chapters) as a thriller type story. Which I believe was the authors intent, and while I do respect the trickery, I also didn’t like it. And because it ends up being an interesting but not exciting story I was left disappointed. The “twists” weren’t really twists at all and could be seen very early on, which made the whole book feel anti-climatic. I also would have liked more of the storyline after she leaves the facility (how she copes with school, the new doctor, do her parents adjust?) and a bit less time inside.

late review but this book was terrible in my opinion. i really try not to be harsh but it was so boring and hannah was such an unreliable narrator it stressed me out. even if you like that unreliability, i dont think you would have enjoyed hannahs character. the book just didnt have enough sustenance and it bored me. 2 stars because the last twenty pages when she meets up with her parents interested me a bit.
