Giving Bran and his family, and all the others, closure on the disappearance of their children is amazing and I'm so happy the team was able to give that.

With all that being said, this book wasn’t my favorite, but I also don’t hate it. I feel like this book fell a little short for me. If I had to rank the books this would be my order. (Favorite to least favorite) Roses of may, Butterfly garden, vanishing season, summer children. Though I am kinda torn because I really liked the overall story of the butterfly garden better than vanishing season, I liked the character development and how the story progresses in the lives of the detectives.
I am happy we got most the detectives POVs throughout the books. I feel like it added a lot to the books.
The plot twist / end was interesting but I don’t know if all the buildup made it a little underwhelming or if I just thought it was underwhelming despite all the buildup.
By this book I was more invested in the detectives person lives than the actual mystery.
This is one of my favorite book series. I definitely recommend it.
