WBD Book: Bad Mermaids Meet the Witches, by Sibéal Pounder, Laura Ellen Anderson, Jason Cockcroft

Be prepared for tons of glitter and scales the witches and the mermaids are going to be meeting!
My second WBD 2019 book, and I am so happy that Amazon had it. *cheers* I just adore both series by Sibéal Pounder and so imagine my excitement when I read that my favourite characters would finally meet up and go on crazy adventures. Sure, it was just a short adventure (we need more!!!), but I will take anything that will mix up characters from these series. :)
It all starts when it is time for the 100-year meeting between the mermaids and the witches, we see the witches are preparing for the welcome ceremony, the mermaids are buying hats (and wondering why they are flat and not pointy)... Fran has to do a spell on a bathtub when things go bonkers (as expected) and Tiga and Fran end up with the mermaids.
And from that moment on the fun starts! Our girls (Tiga and Fran) have to go back, but first up is some nice chatting with the girls and after that trying to find a bathtub in the middle of a mermaid kingdom to get back home. Yes, a bathtub. In a mermaid kingdom. But apparently it isn't as hard as I thought it would be, though it requires a prawn fashion show. Yes, don't ask. :P
I had such a laugh at Steve and Fran. Steve was totally admiring Fran and even calling her Queen.
I do wonder why the witches thought a very weird looking cat sculpture out of hair would work out as a present for the queen. I guess they really really love cats there.
What I would have like to see? Illustrations! I did miss those, and I was quite eager to see them especially since the cover mentions that there are illustrations. The only illustrations are at the beginning (with the introduction) and at the end with a preview for the other books.
But all in all, I had so much fun reading this one (laughing so so much), and I do hope that we will get more crossovers between the two series.
