Detailed and funny stories from the authors life, but it didn’t really impact me or leave me with any deeper reflections.

Hilarious. I was literally laughing out loud the whole way. Absurdity and normality mixed to their finest.

Listening to the audiobook (as all Sedaris should be "read") sporadically between road trips, so as to draw it out. Hit and miss so far, as I've already read a lot of these stories in Esquire and the New Yorker.

It’s a good book but not a good Sedaris. Probably the most uncomfortable of his books because it’s racist and otherwise offensive at times, but when it’s good it’s good.

Not sure exactly what happened to me when reading this book, but I suddenly really didn't like it and scrapped attempting to read it all together. It was hard keeping up with the change in stories and I really couldn't get into any of the stories that much that I felt the need to keep on reading.

Love David Sedaris! Some aspects were a little gross, but in true Sedaris form I found myself simultaneously squirming and laughing.

Not as much a favorite as some of the others, probably because of so many unreliable essays but still made me chuckle here and there.
