Will och Emory - Indie Jones Grayson, Finn Grayson, Will Grayson IV (Two)

Madden.

enjoyed this way more than conclave (rika pissed me off BAD there) but i was very distracted by the octavia and mads thing because aren't they COUSINS? i'm hoping its platonic because he's also old enough to remember her being born which is very concerning... that aside his character is super interesting and ik PD has no intention of a devil's night spin off but it'd be really fun to read if she ever does!

I really loved the chance to see all of the horsemen interact with their families. And I especially loved meeting Mads and seeing inside of his mind for a bit. Overall really enjoyable and it was so much better than conclave lol

I really enjoyed this little novella rounding off the Devil’s Night series. I don’t have a great deal to say about it given it’s length. It was really lovely to get a chapter through each of the horsemen’s eyes now after reading all of their stories, and now that they’ve grown up, started families and continued their dynasty. I especially loved Damon’s chapter with his mother Christiane. Interesting sub plot of Madden and Octavia being taken of the family and the hints at what Madden must’ve done in order to survive that. This is the last book in the series, yet it almost feels like it’s set up for a future series centred around the horsemen’s children, and feels like it’s heading into mafia-ish territory, with the four families united with protection against their enemies. Regardless of the fact this seems an odd way to finish a complete series, I love a cliffhanger style open to interpretation ending anyway, and would definitely be here for future books if that did ever became a thing.
But really liked the corfax room reference at the end.
Satisfactory ending? Kinda.
