Well to start things off the formatting of the ebook version of this that I read was possibly the best of any I'd ever seen, so I started off with positives before even beginning the reading process.

Now the story was short, and I felt like I might've confused myself because the Amazon page didn't list the page numbers where I usually look for them. But it was a fairly short book and read blisteringly fast. So in the end I'm glad I got it despite any of that, and I bought the other two of his books that are on sale now for halloween on Amazon to read subsequently.

The story itself is short and concise enough that much explanation would result in giving something away, but it definitely gives a good insight into the mob mentality and abnormal psychology in the middle of a high pace adrenaline filled work. There were scenes of violence and depravity but honestly they were done in a very respectful way where their impact on the story was evident but it never seemed overdone. I was surprised with how many twists and turns Rufty packed into such a short work and how smoothly it went between them. Highly recommended to anyone with an open mind and not that weak of a constitution.

Great little novella. Once it got going I couldn't put this down. A reversal of the sexes 'I Spit On Your Grave', but with a deep twist, and well developed characters.
