I have never been a big John Grisham reader despite the fact that he's a Mississippi author. Since he was one of my grandmother's favorites, and since her passing, I'm trying out at least one a year in November (her birthday). Really glad I picked this one up. It is fast paced and well thought out. I think I finished out the last 100 pages in just a couple hours. I loved the book, but as much as I loved the book, I was not a fan of the movie adaptation with Tom Cruise. They totally changed the plot around and made characters like Abby and Tammy seem less than Grisham wrote them. I've got the new sequel The Exchange on hold at my library, so I'm excited to see where Mitch and Abby wound up.

An easy read, but the characters were a bit stereotypical (workaholic husband, pretty wife). I also found it unbelievable that the main characters had the courage to devise a crazy scheme and took crazy risks.
