I do not like the racism when this kid describes her peers and their families in the first scene. It's ridiculous and offensive. I get that she's 16, and rude, and has trauma, but like... That doesn't mean I have to keep reading it. I have better books to read with my time.
Also the descriptions were all 'gender hair, skin, clothing, assumption about parents'. Over and over Nothing really to place them in a room or make any of it feel real.
