As far as Kristin Hannah goes, this was not an amazing life-changing book for me like some have been. Most the characters were hard to like or relate to for the first half of the book. At its heart, this story is about emotional repression and ultimately our ability to make changes and heal relationships.

This was an okay read! Not great and not bad. I liked the characters and character development but the plot was pretty predictable. It was a nice character read.
