Willow and Mikell meet when they're both trying to get away. The way they get consumed by one another is surreal, and almost dream like. And so is Willow finding out that in a fit of drunkenness, she suggested they get married and he agreed... and they do, lol.

Okay, so I love the way MG was written. If AP doesn't do anything else, she's a master at writing a MMC who TELLS you how it's going to be. They don't ask, lol. But it's still romantic and patient. It's not bully romance. It's gentle still. And MG is that. He knew his heart and he knew that Willow was just afraid to listen to hers. His commitment to making everything right that went wrong with her was amazing. Willow was a track star in training, but she knew where she was loved, and where she was happy. So she was smart too. She's so accomplished and a talented. I loved their love story. I'm a huge fan of acting on your first mind and they did. The human tendency to doubt it is real and I love the way that was written too.

Secondary cast was solid, and Willow's ex was a lame but at least his parents tried to rein him in. MG's mom and sister were sweet. Her parents sucked as well and MG was right there to shield her when they didn't step up. A man. A HUSBAND.

This was a little weird and trippy. I’m not sure how I feel about Willow and MG’s heavily-under-the-influence hook up and marriage, but I did love the way the characters talked about healing and relationships. The premise is that Willow and MG both have past trauma from toxic relationships when they meet at a summer festival- high they hook up and get married only to realise the magnitude of what they’ve done when they sober up and have to deal with the strong feelings they have for each other. I enjoyed this overall. My main issue was the fact that some of this felt a little dreamy and hard to identify what was real and what wasn’t. The way MG loved Willow and articulated that love was everything and the communication between the MCs was solid.

So, let me tell y'all how I just finished this burning hot insta-love, right!!!! Hey, APxCB, can I get the recipe for that No Inhibitions? I only need 1/5 of 1/5 so I can sleep REAL GOOD, sis. 🤣🤣🤣

Baby, MG & Willow were 🔥🥵😋

***Queue the 112 "Anywhere" okay!!!!***

I am sometimes hesitate about the insta-love trope, but this was on point. There was just enough reluctance in Lolo's mind that I was like, okay sis, think about this. But just like MG said, when you know, you know. And baby did NOT fumble the ball on this one. I also enjoy it when a much deserved beat down is warranted and the MMC serves it up correctly. Mikell got them hands... in more ways than one. Certified book bae material.

I can't wait to see how this next couple continues the shenanigans with. I know they gonna bring the heat too.
