This is a tough read. But a very important one. And the writing reflects the survival mode of the main character perfectly.

This is more than a book. I am not the same person after reading it.  I will have to forget this, but will I be able to? To this day, only a tiny fraction of rape camp soldiers had to answer for their crimes. They are still among us: they are fathers and brothers, grandfathers and uncles and work colleagues.

A very important and gripping story, written in a way that seemed as silent as the victims of those horrendous crimes, while still roping you in and not letting you go.
It brought to light a topic that the rest of Europe often doesn't even bother mentionning, and in the end it had me in tears over all of the people that suffered in silence, that we don't even know the name of, both in the book and in reality.
