Reviews with content warning for Toxic relationship - Blood Promise

Richelle gaslights everyone that certain scene and conversations happened. Worst thing is that she's trying to convince us that scenes we've already seen happened somewhat differently. They made snow angels. I hate that scene with burning passion. If that actually happened she wouldn't have shut up about it for the entirety of third book, and it wasn't mentioned once (until now).
Amount of times she shamed blood whores is unbelievable. You'd have to be blind not to realise she'll end up just like them at the end. But that was soo fun. Strigoi Dimitri is ten times better than regular Dimitri.

Not much actually happened. Nothing that's important for the rest of the series, except that he drank her blood. Rose played Dimitri's widow while spending Adrian's money. And then she played blood whore. I enjoyed every moment of it. Her escape plan was very Rose-like and realistic.

It's stupid that she forgot code but considering state she was in, it's impressive she remembered three numbers, let alone 14. And that she hadn't passed out mid-way.

There was whole other part with Lissa that I paid absolutely no attention to. We got about 5 other spirit users. (Rare and special... I'm having flashbacks to rare and special mates in ACOTAR).

REREAD

I've decided that Rose is delusional about all the cute, bonding moments she had with Dimitri because they haven't had that time. And she needs something to occupy her mind while she runs around Russia. I still hate snow angels.
Rose became self-reflection queen in this book, and I'm here for it.

The book is really good, except the pacing is a bit off and it kinda messed it up for me personally. The beginning is great, and then the middle starts to drag, before the ending speeds by (while taking a while to finish). Theres a lot of world expansion and new characters that work in some places (Abe, Belikovs, Oksana and Mark) and don't work in others (The Unpromised). Excited for reading fresh books and finishing it.
