A couple of weird fun and quite entertaining Christmas stories all collected in one book.

I read this last year, but I seem to have forgotten to rate it. My memory is now a bit fuzzy, though 2 stories I still remember vividly.

I definitely recall enjoying the book and wishing it wasn't over yet when I finished!

Truly heartwarming tales. You can see how Britons cope with snow (and I have witnessed this in person yesterday, they are indeed very cute). As a law student I especially liked the one where Father Christmas goes to court.

And here was me, thinking there'd be no new Pratchett's... ok, this isn't "new" except I've never read any of the collected stories before. And of course it's classic Pratchett takes on older stories, or newer stories on the theme of Christmas written with the humor and twists he's known for. While written for younger children, adults will still enjoy reading these tales - and perhaps read them to younger readers, thus growing a new generation of fans.

This is more for your younger readers but fans of the Discworld series may enjoy spotting the origins of some of the ideas that were started here. Most notably was The Computer who believed in Santa who has more than a passing resemblance to Hex (built by Ponder Stibbons of the Unseen University). These are fun if otherwise forgettable stories written by a young man yet to find his niche. The text is literally spruced up by being differing fonts and sizes and are accompanied by Quentin Wilson’s illustrations.
