Disappointing that Elizabeth went from quite a clever and fun character, to an absolute idiot who seems incapable of connecting even the most obvious dots and asking repetitive and very useless questions. The author over explains everything. Like others have said, this book is just all over the place and "Elizabeth goes on the run yet never learns anything" is getting really tiresome.

The plot is all over the place... no idea where this is going. But still entertaining and a good listen.

Another exciting, frightening, and often funny ride with Elizabeth Cage as she attempts to discover whether she is running from or to, and which is the better alternative? Still finding herself tangled up with the supernatural, the mysterious Dr Sorensen, her feelings for Michael Jones, and now the wonderful Iblis, this really is a wild story with lots of twists and turns which will leave you on the edge of your seat. And wanting more.

Argh, this book. I thought I'd rate this a 4 star, cuz it was just all over the place, all these random things that seemed to have nothing to do with each other. But then, finally it was all brought together. It was good, not the best Jodi Taylor ever, but really good. The characters are so memorable and the story is insane. It's really trippy. I enjoyed it. 4.5 stars rounded up cuz it's Jodi Freakin Taylor.

The first book was much better.
Too much fantasy and mythical creatures and not enough people in this one.
I listened to the audiobook and wish hey had stayed with the narrator of the first book.

Jodi Taylor once again writes a book that's difficult to review and impossible to put down.
The narrative style often feels disjointed but somehow it works.
