(Writing this SUPER late, oops!)

A fun continuation for Charlie and the gang. It was nice to learn more about the other kids and about Charlie's complex family tree. A bit predictable at times, but I'm probably not the intended audience, so all's forgiven.

this one was even a bit more rough than the first one, but there was some more time with some of the side characters which I loved. looking forward to the next book, because it’s one I remember a lot from my younger years

The second book in the series took a little bit longer to get into than the first book, but I still enjoyed the journey and felt the characters grow deeper as the book progressed.

(4.5) Although I enjoyed the backstory we got on Charlie’s family, mainly his uncle, I throughly enjoyed the insight we got into why Ezekiel, Headmaster Bloor, and Manfred want to keep an eye on Charlie and want to get him on their side.
