This is really #2.5 in the series and was in the anthology, [b:Love Without Boundaries|23951795|Love Without Boundaries (Tornians, #2.5)|M.K. Eidem|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1421578661s/23951795.jpg|43555791]. So Isis changes a lot after becoming friends with the humans. She now takes more control of her house and home and by doing so steps on some toes. Oryon though happy with most changes, does not agree with all of them. He does like her change in the bedroom though. They are coming home from the joining and are dealing with the consequences of the 3rd son being named Lord of another territory and being joined to a human woman. This creates issue for their 1st son who will not become a Lord until his father is no longer capable.

While taking control of her house, Isis discovers that not all the positions of power are being used with honor. This creates conflict and questions of whether Isis is a fit female to be with the Lord. (how ridiculous as there are no others)

This was cute. Not over played. Very happy to see a mature relationship and them discovering more about each other, expanding their trust in each other.

Series: Tornians #3.5
Rating: 4 stars - It was really good

This story is about Lord Oryon and Lady Isis on their return home from the Joining Ceremony. Their world has just drastically changed and everyone is still adjusting to the changes. Isis has realized she wants to stand beside Oryon and be a part of everything in his life. She pushes for change and challenges everything people know about Tornian females. House Rigel is being turned upside down by all the changes and not everyone is accepting of it.

I liked this quick novella about Oryon and Isis. They are the only couple that has stayed together in recent Tornian history and have four males because of it. Even though they have been together for 25 years they have continued to conform to Tornian tradition and Isis has still been secluded. Now their relationship is blooming again and together they will make a stronger house. I also loved how she develops a stronger relationship with her sons.

Overall, a nice story for the OG couple. I really can’t wait for the next book!
