Simply put: this book is not good.
From what I can tell anybody giving this above 2 stars seems to be a fan of the author in general and probably not this book itself. The 1st section was okay, and I was intrigued but the other 3/4th’s of the book are almost unbearable.

Every character is poorly written without a trace of development and almost every woman mentioned is treated as an object who’s only purpose is her desirability to men (I mean the main character can’t even see his own sister as something more that an object for sex). It’s very weird and convoluted in what I assume is an attempt to be deep, meaningful, or artsy but it just falls flat. A lot of the seemingly “shocking” moments are meaningless and do nothing for the story or the characters.
