The concept of this story is fantastic, the characters well rounded but the timing is painfully slow. There is too mich time in conversation, too much spent with the brooding Louis. I wonder if the pacing of future books is better?

it went in waves of being really good and dragging on but the good parts were SO SO SO good. very dramatic very atmospheric.
