Great clean regency romance. I have enjoyed this whole series so far and can’t wait to read the next one

Marrying Miss Milton by Ashton Newbold

Jane loves one man, yet is forced to marry a different one. Then she has to deal with the mistake. Or was it?

While Jane doesn’t have much going for herself because she’s chosen to do nothing. Like I don’t know what she used to do all day. I was intrigued by the plot and not sure which way the author would take it.

While this gave a HEA and was nicely wrapped up in a bow, I was left unsatisfied. There wasn’t really a climax, I feel like more could’ve happened. Especially with other characters we were introduced to. Once they got married it was just Jane and Philip. Maybe if we saw Jane play up being the happily married woman earlier that would help the reader like her.

I was only mildly on board for a while, but the last third or so was really very sweet. Very fast, easy read.

A sweet and simple little love story that crafts words wonderfully to create breathtaking images and feelings. With Philip at the center of this story I've fallen head over heels for him. He's so cute and dashing in a way not typical of love interests in romance novels. Honestly it's lovely and refreshing.

I think I've found a new favorite author to add to my small list. The first romance author to make me fall in love with the genre truly. With no need for mysteries or a fight to save the world to make the story intriguing. Just wonderful characters and their lives.

Loved it!

Loved this story! Two people that were overlooked their entire lives until he suddenly becomes a marquess and she goes to Brighton. The moment he laid eyes on her he knew she was the one for him but she only had eyes for one man and it wasn't him.

Synopsis:
Philip, a newly appointed Marquess, is thrown into a new world of Pomp and circumstance, little does he know about the workings of the upper elite. He enlists a friend, Lord Ramsbury, who gives him terrible advice, and puts him in the dog house.

Jane, a feisty, hidden, and self-conscious red head, takes a leap of faith and chases her childhood crush to Brighton where she puts herself into quite a pickle, but is it a much better situation you will have to read to find out!

Review:
This is my first book to read by @ashtyn_newbold_author and y’all....... I should have jumped on her bandwagon long ago. This book truly was so well written, it passed the time so effortlessly and didn’t leave out any detail or any conversation that you 100% wanted to happen. She went into the backstory of each character and made you understand what had made them the way they are. The character development was truly some of the best I have read! Ashtyn you are a beautiful wordsmith!! Truly if you want a happy, forced marriage, enemies to lovers book..... THIS IS IT! I am truly so impressed and cannot wait to read all of her books and bug the crap out of all of you!

Content Warning: Death of Parents, Forced Marriage
Clean Rating: Squeaky Clean

Sassy, shy, red haired, Jane + tall, funny, clumsy, Phillip= true love

Great plot, some parts were rushed but a sweet shorter book. Definitely worth rereading!

Too hard to get into

I didn't really care for these characters. And if I don't care, why should I read it? The characters were just bland and too modern in attitudes and behaviors. I just don't care.
