I love, love, love this series. This book was exciting and romantic and kept me guessing. I love that. And America freaking rocks. Can't wait to read the next one.

The whiplash that I had with this book and number of times I went…

But I’ll still be reading the next one and hopefully it will redeem this book

I thought this book was really good! The only thing that is preventing me from giving 5 stars is the constant back and forth of the love triangle and the way America acts for a good chunk of the book. Other than that I really enjoyed this book.

While I found this one to be a bit slower in some places, I’m so glad America hasn’t left the castle yet. I just felt this was a lot of unneeded filler. In this book, I got more answers on the context of the world these characters live in. I’m still really curious to know more about the rebel attacks; I still wish there was more context about who these groups of rebels are, why they are attacking, and the reasons they started attacking. Is it political or personal reasons? Not a fan of the king. I’m also glad America is giving herself some more space from Aspen.
