What an incredible book. I’m not always into this kind of mystic shit, but it was an amazing read. The twists and turns kept it fresh, and the writing style was also really nice. It was long, sure, but that’s not necessarily bad! In this case it didn’t matter so much. It was nice to read by the riverside, feet in the water, sun setting and everything. I really enjoyed all the motifs in the boom, like the seven freckles, the ring, the blue flowers, but also the part about being a woman in the rennaissance up until the 1970s. It was interesting to read about the practical things women faced during that time (even though we all know how fucking shit it was to not be a man during that time, and still is to a lesser extent now).

It was also really nice to see that there was so much gay in this book?? It was just nice to have some pansexual representation💅🏼
Especially Henry’s thoughts about loving someone first before considering their gender made me🥹

Anyway, nice book, read it👍🏼
And thank you Annebelle for giving this to me for my birthday over a year ago, I’m sorry I only read it now😭

Addie’s story is sad, yet adventurous. Henry’s is heartbreaking 🥺

Some aspects were a little predictable, but this was a great read especially if you enjoy pondering the philosophy of human life through fantasy novels. 😅

I don’t have the words yet, but let my rating speak for itself. LIFE-ALTERING TBH. I will never be the same.

Well, this was great.
This book pulled me in and took over my life for a day.
I feel a bit lost.
It's extremely rare that I finish a book and think "No, I'd better not pick up another book now - this one deserves some space to properly digest," and it's so nice to find that this can still happen after having read so many, many books in this genre.
I'm going to go away and be very contemplative and feel bereft now.
