this gave me very much rory and jess vibes from gilmore girls. besides for the dragged on plot and cliché characters, i had fun with this!

Well written, obviously aimed at a younger audience than me so the drama was a little over the top for the situations the characters found themselves in but that's part and parcel with being 17.

Once again Jenn Bennett came through for me... I just LOVE her writing and her YA stories... Every time I read one of her books I simply smile all day long really ... It's sweet, hard, sweet again and ... I don't know I just feel close to the characters, and just READ HER BOOKS !!!!

Jenn Bennett is one of my favourite contemporary authors and although I think I liked [b:Starry Eyes|35297469|Starry Eyes|Jenn Bennett|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1497542946l/35297469._SY75_.jpg|56664282] a tiny bit better, this was also a great book. Her love stories are believable and there is so much surrounding it that I actually struggle to shortly summarize this book. The family dynamics, Lucky´s past and this small-town environment really made me finish this book faster than I thought. There were a lot of complex plot lines and although there were some twists I definitely saw coming
Spoilerwhat was revealed about her father and them being stranded on the island (which was BTW also very similar to Starry Eyes)
and some, I found a bit unnecessary
Spoilerthe drama at the end about where the picture came from
, it was enjoyable and sweet at all times. Especially in the beginning, I really liked the mystery of Lucky and he is funny and smart. The humour was subtle but something I appreciated a lot. If you are still looking for something to read this Valentine's Day, pick up this book!
