I wish I could find anything charming or likable about Joe Castleman, but alas. He is a pathetic flop. So, in that way, the book fell short for me, but still Meg Wolitzer has something special and I thoroughly enjoyed this book.

Inversion of the great man story that still focuses way too much on the great man. Trying to set this story up with a twist reveal did not work in the slightest. Also struggled with the believability of the story and found the writing to be quite monotonous.
