This book was a fun rom-com! It has an all Black cast, and our MC is a woman in STEM which was a huge seller for me. I LOVE a strong intelligent female lead!

Naledi Smith is an orphan who lives in NYC. She has worked her whole life to get where she is. Now on top of her grad school work, and multiple jobs, she is getting very persistent emails from a spammer insisting she is betrothed to an African prince.

The end of this book felt more rushed than I prefer. I felt like it wrapped up too quickly. I still enjoyed the dynamics of the rest of the book. I LOVED the MC Ledi. Definitely recommend.

This was a cute romance overall, but I found it kind of hard to get into. It might have been the pacing, which felt really slow to me throughout, or the characters who were interesting but didn't engage me.

I still think it's a great read if you're looking for a lighthearted romance with diverse characters!

I usually love Royal books but this didn’t click. The prince felt like a stalker to me and the whole thing was icky especially with the love interest not knowing his true identity.

Another book I unfairly judged by its cover. This is a heart-warming story of loss, love, friendship... with a side of epidemiology. It didn't capture me right away, and the "twist" was predictable, but overall an enjoyable read.
