My life has been consumed by Animal Crossing New Horizons. While I don't regret the time I've spent playing, not being able to read has been a bit weird (whenever I try, I can't seem to concentrate for very long).
Most of this book was actually read last night, finishing at 2am because I could not put it down. Gods I love how McDonnell writes - it's just so effortlessly energetic and fun.
The Money Games was amazing - I definitely would have tuned in! I realised Bridget is not really my cup of tea (though honestly, she pairs great with Paul and their relationship is pretty solid, so she's far from Miranda in [b:The Spirit Thief|8097637|The Spirit Thief (The Legend of Eli Monpress, #1)|Rachel Aaron|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1388474296l/8097637._SY75_.jpg|12861382] to me) and I found myself wanting to know more what Phil and (poor) Jimmy were up to.
I've really missed Phil.
As always, under all that madcap situations, the plot lines are still solid and pretty interesting.

McDonnell went full out comedy for this adventure, and totally without any involvement from Bunny, except for a couple of mentions.
He has shifted to a new series that sounds like it will be pretty dedicated to humorous events, so we'll see.
