One of the first books I read in college, given by a friend. I just flew thru it quickly. It was so lovely and had such a good narrative point of view.

4 1/2 stars. Anything dealing with Nazi Germany is a tough read. But Liesel’s love for books and the people around her shine bright in a morbid setting. Excellent choice of narrator who gives an unusual perspective into the daily life of those who suffer atrocities at Hitler’s hand.
