Qu'est-ce que j'ai aimé, autant pour le style élégant de George Sand que pour l'histoire tragique qui se déroule devant nos yeux. La relation entre Indiana et Ralph, le destin qui leur est imposé malgré eux, m'a beaucoup touchée. Les notes prodiguées par l'édition que j'avais ont aussi beaucoup apporté à ma lecture.
Je préfère cependant en rester à la fin de la quatrième partie plutôt que de me satisfaire de la "happy ending" apportée par la conclusion.

I'm not usually enthused by absurd melodrama, and everything is melodramatic here, so that does not bode well.

Incredibe. To link to Mrs Bovary. But better. More deeper, more sarcastic. The meeting with George Sand was a success.

Incroyable. A lier à Madame Bovary mieux encore. Plus profond, plus sarcastique. Cette rencontre avec George Sand était une réussite.
