This was sweet, introspective, and a little funny. I appreciated that this is told from the perspective of someone who doesn't really have any openly queer people in his life, and the situation forces him to look deeper at his own views and how he treated his brother in the past. This easily could have become very heavy (and maybe it would be for some gay men) but I think it addressed a tough topic without getting too dark. There's a lot of character growth and sweet moments.

I estimate that I cried for about 300 of these pages. Initially, I thought it might go in a BL direction, but the way it actually played out was so heartwarming and wholesome. Dangit, I'm thinking about some of these scenes and tearing up again. There are so many conversations about assumptions and biases. I really loved this book.

This was wholesome, warm-hearted, wonderful. I loved how the author combines his guidance on how to be an ally with Japanese Culture, diving deep in cuisine and everyday rituals. Big Fan!

I liked some plot twists in the book, even some of the silly ones were well done. This book was super duper wholesome/emotional, I would honestly recommend this to basically everyone I know. This book shows how to explain gay marriage to kids, and honestly is so good. I loved this book
