Underwhelming, but alright. I wasn't particularly excited about any of the characters, and would have liked more of Medusa's perspective instead of the cast of characters around her. I liked the questioning of "who do we consider monsters, and is that how it should be?"

I simply cannot explain how beautifully written this book is and how much it pulled at my heartstrings. A perfect picture of feminine pain throughout the ages. Men vilifying women, hurting us, hunting us, killing us; it is a tale as old as time. Nathalie Haynes has such a love and knowledge of Greek history and legend that is shown carefully crafted into these pages. This is a book I shall not soon forget.
