Random House Ballantine reached out to me via NetGalley and offered me an ARC Copy. At first I was unsure if I wanted to read it. I hadn’t read anything else from the author and thought it sounded interesting. A few days later I decided to give it a go and I am SOOO HAPPY I did! Marnie is a professional gift buyer. Browning up she found out that there was nothing better then a person receiving the perfect gift! In the end she ends up making it into a business.
Everything is going great! She has steady business and is continuing to grow in clientele. One day she is wrapping and getting together her best clients, Brian, gifts. A lovely present for his wife on their 40th year anniversary… and one for his mistress

A cute little read. I found the characters really loveable and I couldn’t wait to see what happens. While it was a little cliche and the ending was predictable I did very much enjoy this.

Fun story about a mix-up leading to a secret revealed, family drama and perhaps a chance at love.

I liked the characters and enjoyed watching as they worked out what they wanted - from life, from others and from themselves. The aussie flavour is present throughout the story.

If I had a negative about the story it would be that it all ties up a little too neatly (like one of Marnie's expensive yet gorgeous hand wrapped gifts) and I wanted a little more angst. Even when things weren't going smoothly for all the characters, this book has a bit too much of a positive vibe (which is its appeal but also not. I'm not entirely sure how to put my feelings into words but I know I loved the optimism I felt but I also wanted it a bit more hopeless at times) .

Would read again. Very glad I impulse borrowed this from the library.

This wasn’t too bad. There were parts that I really liked, parts that the feminist in me did not like at all, and parts that I’m probably a little too young to understand the reasoning behind (Suzanne and Brian). I read The Lost Love Song by Darke and LOVED that. I was surprised to find out that this was written by the same author.

Some really funny parts that I enjoyed. This definitely included lots of complicated relationships that you usually wouldn’t find in a romance.

No explicit scenes, description of the love felt during the act. Check content warnings.

Special thanks to Netgalley and Random House Publishing Group- Ballantine for this digital ARC.

I’ve been a fan of Minnie Darke for years, and her latest novel doesn’t disappoint! I loved all the characters and fell in love with this sweet, romantic story about second chances. Highly recommend!

For once I have found a RomCom with truly likeable characters and stakes. Luke and Marnie are kind, adult, genuine people who you want to root for the entire time. Marnie makes one honest mistake (as we all do), but it leads to a romance she never saw coming. This novel also posed an interesting question that I had never truly thought about: would you care less about a gift if it was chosen for you by a complete stranger?

With Love From Wish & Co by Minnie Darke is a lighthearted read that came along at the perfect time, just after I had read a very long and deep book. This is the story of Marnie Fairchild, a professional shopper extraordinaire that makes her clients that are clueless about gifts and/or do not have the time to choose the perfect gift and wrap it to perfection, look like they spent a lot of time and effort coming up with just the right one. Marine has loftier dreams though. In addition to her successful business, she wants to buy the family building, once her grandfather's, from her uncle. Although, an unfortunate mix-up in her business puts it all in jeopardy. There are other characters that are connected in interesting ways and of course, some drama she must work through. I found this book to be entertaining, charming, and left me with a smile on my face. Thanks to Random House Publishing Group Ballantine and NetGalley for the eARC. All opinions shared are influenced by nothing other than my own reading experience.
