This is the first Nicholas Sparks book that I have read. I enjoyed the build up and unfolding of the story. It had depth to it. It was a quick read.

Nothing like some Nicholas Sparks to get you really thinking about things.

Lately, I've been on a quest to read every single Nicholas Sparks book. Most of the ones I've read lately have only generated 3 or 4 stars, so I was very surprised by A Bend In The Road. I love a book where my prediction for what's going to happen ends up being completely wrong, as was the case here. I read the second half of the book in a matter of a few hours, that's how great it was.

This was a typical Sparks novel. Those who love romance will love it.

I don't even know why I keep reading Nicholas Sparks, when I have known for years that I don't give a fig about what happens in his books.

First of all, it's always the same stuff, only with different character names.

Also, the romance develops way too quickly for my taste and I end up not feeling what I was supposed to feel while reading a romance book.

And can I just say there's not much to add to the characters? They're flat and that's the plain truth.

Sorry die hard fans!
