Not gonna lie: most of the book is a 3-star read. A lot of it is ground we've covered in the previous books, and I wish the author would delve more into (or be more clear about) the more theological side of their role as Horsemen. Three books in, and it's still quite murky. Maybe I expect too much. That said, it's still an engaging read, and the last line of the book is what pulled a down-to-the-wire bump in score out of me. Looking forward to the last one.

Higher rating because Famine didn't change. Also responsible sexual behaviour discussions pre-coitus 👍 But God, was that FMC annoying.

Okay, wow. Did not expect the ending to go the way it did, but I really appreciate that this book didn't follow the same formula the previous two did. I was a bit skeptical about Famine, because I thought it was just going to repeat the events of Pestilence, but I'm so so happy I was wrong. I think out of the three, Famine has to be my favorite now, especially because I thought his character development was truly the best out of them. I'm super excited to read the last book!!

I thought it had the same plotline as the first two books and it just got old.  I was getting sick and tired of switching characters. I thought the books would have been more interesting if the author stuck with Sara the whole time and didn't go to a new main character in each book. They could have easily been a standalone. Although  I loved Pestilence and War, I thought Famine was too long and would take me two library loan periods (each about three weeks.) I would easily recommend reading just one or two of the books, for instance, if you want a longer novel go with books 3 or 4, but not all of them.

It was a little slow throughout the middle, but overall a great book.
