If you’re looking for a spicy book, this is it. If you want detailed characters with a good plot line, good world building, and a solid story, this is not for you. There are more spicy scenes than major plot points. All details focus on these scenes, and definitely not on other plot points. The main female character is quite annoying. Tropes include insta love and pregnancy, both of which I’m not a fan of. A big issue with the world was it seemed like it was set in a fantasy fictional world, then American cities were being mentioned with modern day technology suddenly being introduced halfway through.

Spoilerthe main character was honestly insufferable. Almost 200 pages into the book and there was next to no plot development. The third male love interest was intolerable, and the "sex" scenes between many of the characters were barely consensual despite repeated insistence of them being consensual, even though it was stated that the FMC could not give actual consent or be an active and willing participant due to the nature of her partners. Overall, it was poorly written and repetitive and made very little progress towards this main plot point they kept alluding to despite being almost halfway through the book. I know many people thoroughly enjoyed this book, but I just don't think it's for me.

So the spice level in this book is surreal. (I will say I gave it such a high rating mainly because of the spice. I have no shame lol)

Page 3 and we already got maaaaajor steam! And that's only the beginning.

If you're into bloodplay, biting, pregnancy tropes, group sex, you'll definitely enjoy this. With that being said, however, the plot of the book was all over the place once Wolf was introduced. The characters literally could not take a second to breathe without fucking 🤣🤣

“We do that by boosting Mina’s power with our blood and then making her come so hard, it overrides the blocks in her mind.”

“Fuck my mouth.” Under different circumstances, I might enjoy the way his eyes blaze even brighter as shock suffuses his handsome face. Right now, I’m too intensely focused on that feeling of almost. I nod to myself. “Yes, that’s what I need.” If he does that, it will overwhelm me, I’m sure of it. Then maybe this horrible feeling of being almost there will burst.

I couldn't not quote this. It reads like a bad hentai manga and I just could NOT stop laughing and cringing at THE WHOLE SCENE.

The "plot" was sprinkled in there, but this really was just straight up porn with dialogue.

I'm a sucker for vampires, haha, and this book didn't disappoint. Also, as someone who read the deal with a demon series first, I loved seeing some crossovers. I love how much the guys want to protect and care for Mina in their own ways, and how she uses their knowledge to grow her own strength and abilities.

When I realized there was a pregnancy trope I was a little concerned as I normally don't enjoy it, but I shouldn't have doubted that Katee would do it well.

If you want a good enemies to lovers/reunited lovers trope and you love reverse harem then I'd absolutely give this book a read. Heads up that, as should be expected, it is very spicy.

A fast read if you like a low key dark romance. Between the acts, information is recapped frequently which did get bothersome, but was easy to skim past since each act is basically its own novel. The spicy scenes are good, just wish the plot was a little less rushed at the end!

There's a good way to combine smut and plot and this was not it. All over the place with plot points, very little explanation on things, and smut scenes taking place at really weird times.
