I really enjoyed this! He’s a very expressive talker so listening to this was really fun. He’s very funny and relatable and I enjoyed listening to his life experiences.
It was really nice to hear how awkward and anxious he is at times because I too am an awkward and anxious person who would probably alsonot tell anyone my shirt caught on fire and deal with it on my own instead of letting anyone make a big deal out of it.
This was emotional at times and funny at times and there were a lot of essays that I really enjoyed.

Good grief, I loved this book and will devour whatever this man writes. Not only are these essays poignant and beautiful, but they are laugh-out-loud funny. I highlighted so much of this book and felt like I was sitting on the couch beside a friend while reading this. I was also entranced by the reverence he shows for books and libraries and learned a horrifying/fascinating fact about Black literature and the Dewey cataloguing system. I can't wait to reread this in the future.
