I didn't want this book to end. I absolutely loved it from beginning to end. Now I want a side book of Jane, Ade, or Julian's adventures! Or a sequel of January's (and hopefully Jane and Samuel's) future adventures! My first book of 2020 and it was so good I'm nervous to pick up another book.

I really wanted to love this book but I struggled through most of it. The ending and the cover were beautiful but the rest of the story was filled with grit, loneliness... and hope. It's not at all what I had expected, which may have been the problem for me.

Not my writing style. Read for a book group. I would recommend for fans of Addie LaRue and Starless sea.

There were some interesting elements to the story, the characters were somewhat interesting and the world building was good. There was just a lot of jumping around and I was either interested in one story or the other but never both at the same time, so I felt like it dragged until I got to the parts that were interesting.

A very heartwarming read. There were some slow moments but in the end I loved the family moments
