This is a great trope for "thought I was human, but Im a what now?" There was a lot of back and forth will they won't they in book 1. While the character building and world was good, I found myself wanting to skip ahead to get something more substantial than angst.

Of course that really started to pick up at the end, followed promptly by a cliffhanger. I will be diving off the cliff into the next book. Great hook on the end, and really do want a good end for Fi!

I dove into this because I really loved another of her books, but man…these covers. 😬

The story is interesting, other than the absolutely awful names for the three love interests, but it is moving a bit slow. And M…man, I can’t handle a dude who’s this insecure especially when it is continually mentioned over and over again.

Only one on one sex so far with only one of the guys. 1.5 spice rating.

Fi finds out that she's fae and is brought to Avalon to learn to master her powers. However, she's one of the few fae with a special blessing from the gods—she's an empath. And if people find out, she's at risk as her gift is coveted. Fi will have to find out who is trying to make her leave Avalon and she will need the help of her three mates to continue surviving.

It was a nice story, although I preferred way better some of Colette Rhodes other books.

Because of how fast I read this trilogy, all three books kinda blend together so I am just going to write one review for all three. I will try my hardest to not give any spoilers.

Overall, I really liked this trilogy. It was a fast and easy read. I went in with low expectations so it was actually better than I thought it was going to be. My biggest issue with this trilogy is that it seemed unpolished/unfinished. It read almost like a rough draft of a story rather than being a completed, published book. There were a lot of good ideas and a lot of potential, but in the end the whole trilogy left me wanting more.

One thing I really love about this world/trilogy is the idea of a mating circle. I absolutely love the mate trope. I would say my biggest guilty pleasure is a wattpad style werewolf/vampire mate story. This trilogy had something I had never seen before which was that the fae feel a matting pull to multiple people who have compatible magic and/or kindred souls, but they get to chose if or when they take mates. I loved this because you still get the mate trope but our main character also gets to have a choice in who she spends the rest of her life with. I also like the idea of having multiple mates. All the mate tropes I have read have been one main character only having one mate. I really liked the idea of having multiple mates that are all different and balance out our main character in different ways.

It's sad that this trilogy wasn't more fleshed out because this could've easily been 4 or 5 stars, in fact I would say the last book did push up to a 3.5/4 stars for me but I decided to just give the whole trilogy 3 stars. I would definitely recommend this trilogy if you are looking for a quick and fun read.
